BLACK LAVA BUTTE HISTORY
Black Lava Butte canyon jis ust southeast of BIGHORN MOUNTAIN WINDERNESS and northeast of PIONEER MOUNTAN PERSERVES.
Jemez Homestead was homesteaded in 1957 by Mr. Stillman under the program offered to Korean and WWII veterans.
Mrs. Stillman sold it to local resident who did nothing with it, and then sold in 1990 to the Sullivan's. The cabin was renovated in early 1990's to then code of 700 Sq ft in super fantastic job, extra insulation, double pane windows, tankless water heater making a tight efficient 2 bedroom + 1 indoor bath little home. E. Sullivan painted the house the fantastic colors and sold it to me in 2015.
