“Unnaturally Natural”

Women have been fighting for generations for the right to make decisions regarding their own reproductive organs, reproductive processes, and whether or not they will reproduce at all. My piece is a collaboration with my daughter, Sacha Finn. The text is a paper she wrote for a Sociology and Gender Studies course titled, “Born in The USA: Culture and Reproduction in Modern America,” as a Junior in college. My family’s story of a lesbian couple choosing to create a family through the use of an alternative method, is told through my daughter’s eyes.
